Free Training for Volunteers

Train to Gain gives the opportunity to unlock hidden potential, remove stigma and further qualify the existing workforce. Train to Gain is primarily aimed at employed individuals but it’s recognised that there is a community of unpaid volunteers who perform similar tasks to those of an employee and where these volunteers are identified within a workplace they should be afforded the same access to vocational learning through Train to Gain as an employee. Administration Assistant, 18 hours week, Tameside Blind Association, Dukinfield

Part time assistant to work in small office for Tameside Blind Association’s Community Support Project.

Location: Dukinfield, Greater Manchester.

Hours: 18 hours. (hours to be arranged over 5 day week)

Duties: Office administration supporting the Project Manager, 2 Development Workers and volunteers to provide support services for Blind and Partially Sighted residents of Tameside through our Community Support Project.

Salary: As from February 1st 2010 £16,848.00 pro rata (actual £8,424.00)

Experience/skills required:

The post is funded by the National Lottery through the BIG Lottery Fund until the end of January 2013

Selection will be by application form and subsequent interviews that will include some small tasks.
