One Off Volunteering Opportunities

The Great Manchester Run

"The organisers are looking for 100 volunteers to help make this yet another successful international sporting event for Manchester. Volunteer marshals are required from 0730 to 1345 fill the following roles:

  1. Marshal Registration
  2. Baggage Service
  3. Finishers' Pack Stations
  4. Family Reunion
  5. Water stations*

*this role ends earlier at 1200, so is suitable for those with less time to spare

Specialist Roles: Team Leaders

We are looking for 6 team leaders to lead groups of marshals at the event. If you have prior experience of leading a team at one or more other events supported by MEV then please register in the usual way. Please forward a basic CV to info@greatrun.org using the title 'Team Leader Manchester', explaining the roles you have held and why you think you would be good at the role.

Benefits

All marshals will receive a souvenir jacket, a packed lunch, marshal's bib and travel expenses up to £5.

All marshals will need to attend the briefing session on Thursday 29th April, Town Hall (Further details will be sent to you once your application has been accepted). The deadline is Friday 26th March (roles cannot be guaranteed).

Everyone has to be able to get into the City by 0800 on race day.

Include your preferred jacket size when you apply for your role. The organisers will respond to all applicants to let them know whether they have been successful or otherwise."
